Is the Ferla X Bike electric or pedal-powered? How long does it take to charge the battery?

The Ferla X Bike features an optional powerful electric-assist motor, so you can choose between pedaling, using throttle mode, or combining both. The onboard battery takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to fully recharge.

Is the Ferla X Bike suitable for food or beverages? Do I need a generator? How do I source power?

Of course it is! Many Ferla owners use it as a coffee bike, cold brew station, or a juice bar. It’s also ideal for snacks or desserts. With an optional sink, refrigeration system, and canopy upgrades, it transforms into a cafe on wheels. If you plan on using external appliances like an espresso machine or grinder, you’ll need an external power source or generator. Otherwise, the optional sink and optional refrigeration run off the built-in 100Ah 12V battery – no extra power needed.

Can I customize my Ferla X Bike? How long does customization take?

Yes, the Ferla X can be fully customized. We offer full-body wraps, logo decals, custom canopy options, and even an LED logo sign to match your brand. Custom X bike builds typically take 2–4 weeks, though some standard models may be available sooner depending on inventory.

How do the sink & refrigerator systems work? Are they optional?

Yes, it’s optional. With the water package added, there are buttons on the side of the bike to activate the water pump. The system includes two 5-gallon tanks: one for clean water and one for wastewater. The optional refrigerator unit is a temperature-controlled freezer that can be adjusted to operate as a fridge or freezer. Fully charged, it can keep your goods cold for 12 to 15 hours.

How much weight can the Ferla X Bike carry? How do I transport the Ferla X?

The Ferla X Bike supports up to 500 lbs of cargo, plus the rider. It’s built to handle real business needs, far beyond what most vending carts can offer. You can move your Ferla X Bike with a van or a trailer. For easiest loading, we recommend using a trailer with ramps.

Do I need a permit to use the Ferla X Bike? Where can I sell using the Ferla X Bike?

Permit requirements vary depending on your location and business type. We recommend contacting your local health department and city hall to understand what’s needed in your area. Our team can also point you toward common guidelines to start your business. The Ferla X shines in places like farmers’ markets, parks, college campuses, beaches, downtown areas, and festivals.

Where do you ship? Do you ship assembled? Aside from purchasing, do you offer used or rental Ferla X bikes?

Yes! We ship nationwide and internationally. All Ferla X bikes arrive fully assembled, with an assembly and handling fee applied to each order. We also occasionally have used or demo units available, and short-term rentals may be offered for events or activations within SoCal. Contact our team to check current availability.
